White Paper Publishing
White paper publishing is the posting of information that is used to promote and encourage people to obtain white papers. White paper publishing may not, and generally does not, display the entire contents of a white paper on a web site. White paper publishing may include setting up the registration page, uploading a listing web page (summary page), and providing links to the white paper on other web pages (such as white paper indexes and related product pages).

Registration Page - A registration page is a web page that requires a person to enter contact information (possibly may require other profile information) before they can download the white paper. This can be in a simple form that includes fields for a name and an email address which, upon completion, redirects users to an unlinked page that contains the download link.

Listing Page (Summary Page) - A white paper listing page (summary page) is a web page (usually separate) that contains descriptive information about the white paper. The summary page contains instructions and links for visitors who wish to access the white paper. If the listing page is a separate web page, it can be submitted to search engines for indexing, making the white paper searchable by the title or other information contained within the listing page.

Index Links - Index links are web addresses (URLs) that can be inserted into web pages (such as product pages) which redirect the viewer to the white paper summary page. White paper links may be inserted onto product pages, article pages or any other web pages that display related content.
