White Paper Blog Posts
Blog posting is the process of submitting a message or media item (such as a photo) into a blog. Blog posts usually contain moderate amounts of information such as a few lines or several paragraphs of information. Blog posts may also include links, embedded images and tags (labels) that are used for categorization.

Blog posts can provide much more value than the mere presentation of information to people who follow (subscribe) to the blog. Search engines tend to highly value current blog content, and the blog posts that contain links may be highly valued by search engines.

It is recommended to regularly post messages (such as weekly) when promoting a product or service using blogs. Writing good blog posts can consume a lot of time and effort. To dramatically reduce this time, short sections of a white paper can be rewritten to become a blog post. Typically, a 12 page white paper should be able to be converted into 12 to 24 blog posts.

Blog Post Title - The blog post title is the name that references the blog message (blog post) that helps search engines and readers to find the blog post and to motivate them to select the link to connect to the blog. To do this, blog post titles may include recognizable key words, problem identifiers and solution promises.

Blog Post - Blog posts contain information that the reader is looking for or has an interest in reading. It is important to indirectly promote products using blog messages. If possible, the blog post should identify an issue and a generic solution. A reference to a specific product or service may be provided at the end of the blog post.

It is recommended to include searchable and relatable words with which the desired audience is familiar. When keywords are searched, the search results show the words bolded in the body, reinforcing the reader’s desire to read the blog post.

Blog posts may contain links to other resources such as white papers or product pages. Blog posts that primarily contain promotional materials may be deleted by the blog host.

Tags - Tags are labels that are associated with a media item such as a blog post. Tags can help search engines classify the content so people may easily search for category names. In addition to subject categories, tags may also include company names and product names.

This figure shows how a section of a white paper that has been converted into blog posts. To create the blog posts, section titles of the white paper have been changed to focus on an issue. The white paper content has been condensed and rewritten to be relevant to the specific issue.
